Exceeding 43,000 cases, a new illness called novel Coronavirus (2019-nCov) has claimed over a thousand lives worldwide. As the disease spreads, Christians in China are spreading love to those who are victims of the crisis.
Amidst this heartbreaking news, Christians in China boldly share not only the masks, but the good news of Jesus. They are distributing masks as they hand Gospel pamphlets on the street in the city of Wuhan, the epidemic center of the outbreak.
Meanwhile, a Christian leader called “A Wuhan Pastor” pens a moving letter urging people to pray for all those affected by this crisis.
“Christians are not only to suffer with the people of this city, but we have a responsibility to pray for those in this city who are fearful, and to bring to them the peace of Christ,” the pastor stated. The open letter has reached many people throughout the world.
A persecuted church in China among a number of Christians opened up their homes to those who are in need of room and board. Other Christians from provinces outside Hubei also offered their homes to many people who are fleeing the city of Wuhan.
In this time of fear and desperation, the love of Christians is a break through that no outbreak can surpass. Now is the time when people are gathered to strengthen and give hope to one another.
